Dharam Kanta is a 1982 Indian Bollywood action, thriller, costume film released on Aug 06, 1982. The film is directed by Shahid Khan, produced by Mukhtar Ahmed , music composed by Naushad.
The story starts with Thakur Bhavani Singh who is a dacoit. He lives his family of his two sons, Ram and Laxman and a daughter named as Ganga. One day, he kidnaps the son of his rival named as Harinam Singh who is also Ram and Laxman’s friend. The boy is killed, due to which his mother is in trauma. Things start shattering after Bhavani Singh gets a curse of Harinam Singh’s wife. His family struggles for the food and he gets inside the jail. Now, his entire family is devastated and as a result of this, his boys Rama and Laxman are adopted by two bandits and Ganga is adopted by Harinam’s family. Ram and Laxman both are then made to work in the all sorts of criminal activities and they make this as their profession. Bhavani after getting back from the jail comes to know that his children’s are separated. So, he starts living a very normal life with his family including only his wife. Earlier, Bhaavni killed Chandan Singh and his son promised himself to take the revenge of his father’s death. Meanwhile, here Ram and Laxman who were separated in their childhood need to meet each other and should also meet to Ganga. The entire family then gets together and meets each other.
