Dharti Aakash is a 1987 Indian Bollywood film released on 1987. Vijay, a simple-hearted noble youth, wants to give a concrete shape to the thought of Gandhiji. He was studying in college in the city. His mother and father died in his childhood and he was brought up by his widow aunt with her two sons Pratap and Prakash. . Pratap and Prakash were basically bad characters. The huge property of Vijay at the village was under the control of Pratap. His brother Prakash was in jail due to his goondaism. . Whenever Vijay comes to the village during his holidays, he works hard for village reforms and betterment of the poor villagers, but Pratap was badly against these activities. . Vijays was in love with a young Harijan village girl Geeta and wants to marry her. When Pratap comes to know of this affair, he becomes very tense and starts to planning to kill his brother Vijay, but Vijay escapes from the deadly attack and after recovery, goes to the city for completing his studies. . Here in the village, ruthless Pratap attacks the poor villagers brutally and in the incident he dies. After a few days, Prakash is freed from jail and takes charge of the estate with the permission of Vijay. He becomes the Darinda for the poor and helpless villagers. He rapes Geeta and kills her. . When Vijay gets the news of Geetas death, he becomes very sad but with a broken heart, he decides to marry Laxmi (Geetas sister) just to remove the inhuman casteism and untouchability. . Hearing this, Prakash becomes very angry like his late brother and wants to take revenge. Vijay is informed about this. He writes a letter to Prakash and leaves the house with Laxmi, just to save his beloved village from the revenge of Prakash. . Meanwhile Seeta, daughter of a villager and beloved of Prakash, comes to the village but when she sees the brutality of her lover, she openly comes out with the villagers and decides to take strong action against her love Prakash.
