Story


Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere is a 1960 Indian Bollywood social film released on 1960. The film is directed by A. Hingoo, produced by Kanwar Kala Mandi under banner named Kanwar Kala Mandi.
Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere, as is evident from the title, is the story of three friends who were avowed to live and die together. Panchu, oldest of the trio earned a few bucks by card sharpening. Ashok was often engaged by a cigarette company as a stilt-walker to advertise cigarettes. Choti, the youngest of the lot, hawked newspapers. These odd jobs were not always remunerative and they had to sleeep on the footpath and subsist on obscence food which they got from the carriers out of the tiffin boxes of the white collered gentry. Keeping of body and soul together was not the only problem for them. Panchus younger brother, Shree was schooling and they coulnt at times manage his fees Shree, innocent as he was, for a long time didnt know how his big brother was educating him. Prema, a street walker by profession, often helped Shree and was a real friend in need but Panchu didnt like her butting in. She was head-over-heal in love with Panchu who in turn hated her since she was a fallen girl. In the meanwhile, Ashok fell in love a pretty Ayah named Sonu. Ashok wanted to get married but Panchu told him some home truth. "Yea! it is easy to get a wife in Bombay but it is difficult to procure a house". Time moved fast. Shree, one day came to know that his brother was eating residue food and was thus managing his education. He decided to turn a hawker by day and study at a night school. Suddenly lady luck seeemed to woo Ashok. He was taken up as boxing protege by a promoter of boxing. Sonu turned out to be his inspiration and he took big strides towards becoming a champion The promoter was so happy about his progress that he even gave a flat besides a fat salary. Now Panchu who was genuinely in love with Prema decided to marry her and he advised Ashok to do likewise. Sonu, however agreed to marry Ashok provided she could seek her fathers permission. She went to Goa to bring her father but was shipwrecked. There were no survivors! Now, dear partons, this story ends in tragedy melodrama or comedy shall remain anybodys guess until you see it for yourself on the screen.
