Dil Chahta Hai 2001

Dil Chahta Hai is a 2001 Indian Bollywood comedy, romance film released on Apr 04, 2001. The film is directed by Farhan Akhtar, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani.
The story moves around three friends. Their lives are changed after they got graduated from the college. Three friends known as Akash, Sameer and Siddharth were in their college days. Akash (played by Aamir Khan) changes his girlfriends every week. Sameer (played by Saif Ali Khan) is a very well-mannered individual, but he is very confused when he meets a new girl every time. The problem with Sameer is that he is always attracted to a new girl. Siddharth (played by Akshaye Khanna), or Sid, is the most sincere guy who is only dedicated to his work. Then after graduating, Akash plans a trip to Goa. Here, Sameer falls in love with a Swiss girl. But, this love ends here and after getting back his parents arrange for a meeting with a girl. Initially, he avoids the proposal saying that he is not interested in arrange marriage. But, after he sees Pooja (played by Sonali Kulkarni) he comes to know that she is a perfect match for him. But, she is having relationship with another guy and she wants Sameer to be only a friend. Sid is on love with Tara who is alcoholic and an older divorcee. And when his family comes to know of his affair his mother is terrified. Even Akash makes fun of him and both of them get into the quarrel. Akash is also in love with Shalini and just before the night of her wedding, he proposes her and both get engaged. Even Sameer and Pooja also decide to get engage.
