David Dhawan has always made wacky and bizarre films and his new baby DO KNOT DISTURB doesn't push the envelope either. His critics may term his cinema outlandish and outrageous, but the fact is that his films cater to the aam junta. His mantra is simple: Haso aur hasao. On the whole, DO KNOT DISTURB is a mass entertainer that keeps you entertained and smiling/laughing in most parts. At the box-office, this one lives up to the hype and expectations and that in turn should reflect very strongly in its business.Read full review3.0

Do Knot Disturb is a typical David Dhawan madcap comedy, which is apparently inspired by a French film. Doesn't matter because no one can ever inspire the ridiculous antics or facial contortions of our very own Govinda, who seems to have a capacity to turn even the Queen of England into an Indian fisherwoman. Thankfully, Govinda is once again in top form, demonstrating that it's David Dhawan who brings out the best in him. Add Dhawan and Govinda, and you get dhandaRead full review2.5

David Dhavan and Govinda have always formed a formidable box-office team. Movies like Shola aur Shabnam, Aankhen, Coolie No 1, Saajan Chale Sasural, Bade Miyan, Chhote Miyan and many others drew endless sniggers from the allegedly sophisticated but their manic energy certainly wowed the masses. Theirs were honest, if lowbrow, fun. Even in recent times, the duo has produced the occasional box-office winner such as Partner (2007).Read full review1.5

It pains to see the comic genius of the trio of Govinda, Riteish Deshmukh and Ranvir Shorey to be criminally wasted in a shoddy script. Lara Dutta looks as much attractive as much horrible she is in acting. Sushmita Sen seems to be conned in an extended special appearance. Sohail Khan isn’t funny. Despite his histrionic hamming, Rajpal Yadav induces some residue laughs. Take the cue from the title. Do not bother to disturb yourself for this deafening drama.Read full review1.5

If David Dhawan and Govinda come together in a film, you can be sure of some non-stop entertainment. After all, they have rained down hits like Coolie No 1, Hero No 1, Deewana Mastana and Partner. Unfortunately, Do Knot Disturb falls way short of expectations and you start wondering if the director has lost his magic touch. The trouble with the film is its story. It's so weak that one cannot expect the actors to do their comic act and keep the audiences entertained.Read full review1.5

Just when you're beginning to believe that comedy in Indian films has got past the amateurish stage comes a movie like Do Knot Disturb to shatter that notion. How many times is director David Dhawan going to subject us to inane situations created around cheating husbands and insipid wives? Yet another story knitted around comedy's favourite subject: cheating. When suspicious wife Kiran (Sushmita Sen) comes across her husband Raj's (Govinda) photographRead full review1.0

A long time ago in a galaxy not so far away, Govinda and David Dhawan were a formidable actor-director team who you could count on to deliver a few good laughs. Much time has passed since, but the duo is still flogging the same formulas over and over again. Their latest collaboration, Do Knot Disturb is a flat-out rip-off of the French comedy, The Valet, but if you didn't know that you'd say it's a rejig of their own previous films, Saajan Chale SasuralRead full review1.0

The film is set in Delhi, where Riteish Deshmukh plays a waiter named Govardhan at a marina restaurant, where a hill station visit means Lonavala and where Sushmita Sen's character, Kajal, takes a helicopter to meet her mother in Pune. But why expect logic in a David Dhawan-Govinda movie where the protagonist is an amoral adulterer, where Ranvir Shorey plays a detective in plaid suits and dead-animal wigs, Manoj Pahwa is shown battling constipationRead full review
