Drishti 1991

Drishti is a 1991 Indian Bollywood drama, social film released on Jan 01, 1991. The film is directed by Govind Nihalani, produced by Govind Nihalani.
This is the story of Sandhya (played by Dimple Kapadia) and Nikhil (played by Shekhar Kapur). They are a happy go lucky couple and are living in urban area. Both of them are career oriented partners. Coming from middle-class tribes, both of them have raised in their professional life by faith of merit and hard work. On their eighth marriage anniversary one of their best friends brings along his nephew Rahul (played by Irrfan Khan) who is a singer. Sandhya likes the guy Rahul and develops an infatuation and has an affair with him. She whispers in her friend Prabha, but does not inform Nikhil about it. Nikhil is not known of this. After a couple of days, the affair breaks up. After one year, Nikhil falls in liking with Vrinda, his researcher in the lab. He informs Sandhya about it and leaves her. Sandhya is broken down and they are separated on their own terms. Four years after the separation hey meet again, and Sandhya mentions to Nikhil about her relationship with Rahul.

Sandhya (Dimple Kapadia) & Nikhil (Shekhar Kapur) are a happily married, urban, professional couple. Coming from middle class families, both have risen in their professional lives by virtue of merit & hard work. On their eighth wedding anniversary they are introduced to Rahul (Irfan Khan) who is a classical singer. Sandhya, develops a sudden attraction towards him & has an affair with him. She confides in her friend Prabha (Meeta Vasisth), but does not tell Nikhil about it. After a couple of months their affair ends. After about a year, Nikhil falls in love with Vrinda, his assistant in the lab. He tells Sandhya about it & leaves Sandhya. She is shattered. They part. Years after the divorce they meet again, and Sandhya mentions to Nikhil about her affair with Rahul .... What then happens to the old relationship? Watch this film to find out.
