Story
Bablu Chaudhary (played by Shah Rukh Khan), a bubbly young individual, is a good chef. He gets a job as the lead chef at a hotel and meets the beautiful Sonia Kapoor (played by Juhi Chawla) is a restaurant manager. They bond and Bablu falls in deep love with her. After this, Manu, (played by again Shah Rukh Khan in a double role), Bablu's clone, is a ferocious criminal who has escaped from jail to kill his partners,who have mislead him. One fine day, when Bablu takes Sonia out for lunch he gets handcuffed because the police think that Bablu is Manu. Bablu is able to show his true identity but not before Manu hears of his duplicate and decides to take his place by murdering him. There is a lot of distraction about who is who by all associated with the two boys, including Sonia, Bablu's mom Bebe (played by Farida Jalal), and Manu's sweetheart, Lily (played by Sonali Bendre). In a final dispute between Manu and Bablu, Lily shoots Manu dead after thinking that he is not good at heart and does not truly likes her like Bablu loves Sonia.
