Story


Ek Hi Raasta is a 1956 Indian Bollywood social film released on 1956. The film is directed by B. R. Chopra, produced by B. R. Chopra under banner named B R Films.

Sunil Dutt and Meena Kumari are happily married to each other and have a son (Raja). These two were orphans and hence sympathasize orphans. Amar works for Prakash (Ashok Kumar) who is bachelor and in search of good wife. He is also their close friend, Munshi (Jeevan) along with his accomplice used to do fraud in Prakash's factory and was caught by Amar once. Amar taught them lessons for their deed. Out of humiliation and to take revenge back. Amar was murdered. His wife and kid are left kruft. Prakash out of sympathy tries to help Malti and kid to get out of depression and financial loss. But Munshi tries to spoil this image and spreads in public that Prakash and Malti are having an affair. As a consequence Malti was pinpointed by me and all. To save Malti's honor Prakash marries Malti and gets them to his home. He tries to comfort Raja but Raja refuses to accept him in his father's note. Munshi also provokes Raja saying that Prakash had Kill his father. Raja out of anger and fear tries shooting Prakash, but jails. Both Prakash and Malti try to make Raja understand but no avail. Malti falls ill due to all this and is hospilized. Fearing his mother's death Raja tries to flee with his newly born brother and just escapes an accident. Fed up of all this Prakash decide to leave Malti and Raja and go away from his own house. But in the ending Raja understands situation and accepts Prakash as his father. Happy ending.
