Her father had sent her as a child to a residential school in Nainital and all these years she was not even once allowed to visit her home. This indifferent attitude of her father she couldnt understand. Did he hate her so much that he was not prepred to see her face? The School Matron also hated her for no reason and she couldnt understand this feeling of hate. . A young, handsome boy came into her life and whispered those sublime words I Love You. Nobody had ever said this to her. A surge of emotions ran through her body and she wanted to belong to him. It was sublime and soothing to be loved by some one. She was extremely happy but her happiness came to an abrut end, when the Matron demanded her rustication from School for misconduct. . Examinations over, she was awaiting the instructions from her father to return home, instead she was asked to proceed to Kashmir for her vacation. She wasw terribly hurt and decided, to disobey his orders, because she was more anxious to see her father, her home. The moment she reached her hometown, people thought she was crazy, off her mind. She was informed that her father was an alchoholic maniac and had murdered his wife and infant child. She hesitated, but gathered strength to face the disaster. . It was unique welcome for a girl returning home. Her father didnt take her in his arms, didnt kiss her, nor talked her. He didnt approve her homecoming. Once again she found herself in that suffocating atmosphere of hate, and thought loudly to herself, the day mankind got rid of this feeling of mistrust and hate, there will be no hard feelings, no conflicts, no war.
