A flower blundered into becoming a thorn. . Prankish and mischievous Rajoo was innocent and lovable like a helf- blown flower. But he broke away form the bough of love on which he could have bloomed into full and useful manhood. He blundered into the blind alleys of crime. . And when he learnt to think and feel for himself, he found that the black shadow of crimes had already darkened his life. He had become a criminal a criminal wanted by law. But within the hearts of the most- hardened criminals lurks an unconscious desire to turn a new leaf, to leave the blind alleys of crime and its dark shadows, to venture out on the bringht highways of life and its shining lights. . Such a desire lay hidden and dormant somewhere in the dark depths of Rajoos heart also. A chance -a shock brought it out onto the bright surface. He left the blind alleys behind and stepped out on the bright highways. . But he learnt, too late though, the sad and tragic truth that the dark deeds of the days that are done darken the days to dawn. His whole life was one big black shadow looming over the lives of all those he loved. He made one super-human effort to tear off that shadow. . He tore off his own mask. He surrendered himself to law. . And, as he parted form those he loved, he had the sweet and satisfying thought that all was well with thier world.
