Ekanta Apan is a 1987 Indian Bengali drama,family,romance film released on 1987. The film is directed by Biresh Chattopadhyay.

Uma is a business merchant. His daughter's name is Sudipa, who is an architect. Sudipa loves Ranobir. Ranobir is Keya'a brother. Keya and Sudipa were students of the same college. Ranobir is a local criminal but he was interested in painting. He also plays good music instruments like the mouth organ. Keya loves Abinash. Their brothers works in a factory. He is the union leader. Their master offered a lump-sum money but did not give it. After that Ranobir's brothers were killed by the local criminals. Ranobir was the friend of a poor family. He always helps poor people. One day he went to Keya's house. Sudipa knows that Rano was a criminal, but doesn't know the reason as to why he became a criminal. Keya tells her the details. One day Sudipa came to Keya's house to forgive Ranobir. After that Sudipa fell in love with Ranobir and wanted to marry him. But Sudipa's father did not accept their relation. On their marriage night somoone called over the telephone and said that his sister flirted with Babu. Babu was a local criminal. There was a fight with Babu. When police arrived on the spot Babu escaped and Ranobir fled away in a car. Then he was arrested because the car was a smuggled car. Ranobir has to serve a three years punishment in jail. In the mean time Sudipa was pregnant. She gave birth to a boy, but Uma informed her daughter that she gave birth to a dead child. Actually her father sent the little baby to an orphanage. Sudipa went abroad. After three years when Ranobir was released from jail, he did not see his baby. He went to North Bengal for busniess because he had promised his wife that he will give his wife a beautiful house. When he was in train he saw that some rapist were trying to rape Satabdi. Ranobir saved her life. Satabdi was the daughter of a busniess merchant. After that Ranobir became a business partner of Satabdi. Satabdi loves some one but he lives abroad. Some days later they were going to attend a business party. Ranobir saw his wife, but he thought that his wife had married Mrinmoy. Sudipa too was wrongly infromed of Rano's marriage with Satabdi. One day Sudipa went to her uncle's ashram. She did not know that her son is living in that ashram. One day she came to know that Debashis was her son. But ashram master refused her proposal. After that Sudipa brought her son in their house. Babu attacked Sudipa and her son, in the mean time Ranobir came and faught with Babu. Police came and arrested all the criminals. At last Sudipa, Ranabir and Debashis were reunited amd lived happily together.
