Eklavya - The Royal Guard is a 2007 Indian Bollywood drama film released on Feb 16, 2007. The film is directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra under banner named Vinod Chopra Production.
It has been reported in the Geeta that Eklavya desired to be Wise Dronacharya's follower with the purpose of shine at bow and arrow shooting, but was rejected because of his low class. He decided to demonstrate himself, and did shine to such an amount that Dronacharya fingered endangered that he would beat his super follower, Arjun, so he requested Eklavya for his payment - his right thumb, which Eklavya obediently removed and offered it to his Guru.
