Encounter The Killing 2002

Encounter The Killing is a 2002 Indian Bollywood drama film released on Aug 09, 2002. The film is directed by Ajay Phansekar, produced by Ajay Phansekar.
Inspector Sam Bharucha (played by Naseeruddin Shah) is an honest and careful Police Inspector. He frequently comes across with the youth group, calling them "bhai". He also has marital troubles with his son himself calling himself a "bhai", and correlating with criminal elements. One day during one of this vigilance, there is a shootout between a youth group and his police party. A number of young group are killed. Various family members come to claim the departed bodies of the youth, save for one. This fraud Bharucha, and he sets out to find out why. He gets a very thrilling message from a caller, calling himself Ponnappa Awade (played by Dilip Prabhavalkar). Bharucha clashes with Ponnappa, but doubts his prospect, as Ponnappa discloses in his him that the dead body of the youth belongs to a very rich and dominant family. When Bharucha meets with the so-called parents of the youth, he is told that their son is living in abroad, in America.
