Five years ago Ramlal was brought to the Asylum. Before his very eyes his mother and sister had been burnt to ashes and he had at once lost his mind. In his madness he used to call himself Funtoosh. . When the doctors thought that they could do no more for him, and that at that time what he needed was not the constant companionship of mad men, but a contact with healthy people all around, they released him. . But in few days Funtoosh found the world too cruel. He became so dejected that he decided to commit suicide. Seth Karorilal saved his life just in time. The Seth said to him " If you have to die, why not die after a week? For seven days, I will give you all that you have not been able to get because of your poverty. After that I will let you die". Funtoosh agreed. . The Seth gave Funtoosh all that he had promised and then he insured him for a hundred a thousand rupees. . The story deals with Ramlal who was brought up in the mental asylum and he was called himself Funtoosh. When he is discharge from the hospital, he is so depressed by the cruel world outside and he tries to commit suicide but he is save by wealthy man Karodilal and he teach about the life.
