Although Kamla and Bimla was believer of Western civilization. Mother made all the apreparation of Bimlas marriage but she wanted to marry Sharad, her own choice and she did marry him under Civil Marriage Act. The old widow mother cried in despair. What will happen to her familys prestige. Kamla smilingly offered herself to become the bride and thus saved the honour of her family. Every one became happy. . But who can change the luck? As soon as Kamla put her steps in the house, calamities followed on. Her father-in-laws leg fractured. Their mill got burnt. The mother-in-law took her as bad women and held her, responsible for all the calamities. Now she began to treat her even worse than a servant. . On the other side western cultured civil-marriage pair was thinking of taking divorce. Our society does not permit it. Kamla protested badly and warned " It is impossible". She at last got the pair united once again with the bonds of love. . Mother-in-law blamed Kamla and declared her to be immoral. Kishore protested and declared that Sun could rise from the West but Kamla cannot change-she is Goddess of Morality. Mother and son developed quarrel. Kishore left home-his younger sister followed him. She got wounded by the ruffains car, who seeing Kishore kidnapped him and ran away. . Whom God saves none can Kill. Kamla and Bimla were able to get the ruffains arrested by the police. Mother embreced her son and the daughter-in-law, whom she declared to be the Laxmi of her house.
