Gudia 1998

Gudia is a 1998 Indian Bollywood drama, action film released on Jan 01, 1998. The film is directed by Gautam Ghosh, produced by Amit Khanna.

Johnny who is a musician, belongs to the roving troupe of Hameed the ventriloquist. The attraction of their show is the sweetheart doll Urvashi ­ seducer, eternal child­lady, one who won’t age or die. When, Hameed's voice clashes, he advertise Urvashi to Johnny, who goes to his small neighbourhood in suburban Mumbai. He reassembles with his childhood sweetheart Rosemary and plans to resume his stage concert with Urvashi. To Rosemary who is craving to help Johnny, Urvashi almost seems like the other lady. Johnny's music and his talking doll are a hit with audiences which only fuels Rosemary's crazy jealousy. Communal riots break out in the city and Johnny's songs tell the true culprits behind the controversy. They hit back and Urvashi is distracted. Johnny is silenced because his medium of speech is gone. Now Rosemary draws him out of his gloom, brings him back on the stage and dances in place of Urvashi ­ the lady becomes the doll.
