Hate Bajare 1967

Hate Bajare is a 1967 Indian Bengali drama film released on 1967. The film is directed by Tapan Sinha.

A horrible reality was shown in Tapan Sinha's film HATEY BAZARE. A good hearted Doctor is fighting against a continuous degradation of the society. Doctor (Ashok Kumar) living with his family, is a very helpful man. Every problem of poor gets a strong response from him. But in every culture there is a dark place. This dark problem is Lakshman (Ajitesh Mukherjee) a wayward son of a previous renouned landlord family. A bad character alway doing bad jobs, no respects for anyone especially young ladies and try to seduce them for sex. But Chipli gets help from doctor's family. Her brother Sibu was arrested by police. Lakshman trapped the boy for getting Chipli. But his scheme is foiled by the investigation to rape her. Sibu was released and finds a job at a garage. One day when Doctor's family is enjoying a picnic, Doctor's wife (Samita Biswas) died in heart attack. Doctor has started an outdoor clinic for poor people. The Clinic is doing well. Chipli works there, but that is not tolerated by Lakshman. He tries to recover information about her as well as threat her himself. Lakshman's informer is beaten and insulted by driver, Mechanic Amal (Samit Bhanja) and Chipli's brother. One day when a tribal dance being enjoyed by people, Lakshman informed Chipli that doctor is alone in home, Chipli is trapped. Lakshman attmepts to rape her, though he again failed due to sudden attack of doctor on him. Lakshman died in the fight but doctor is also very much injured by the hit behind in his head. Finally, doctor loses his eyes. But after all his good reputation get sympathy and according to his belief people take care of his duty. In the film this is actually begining of a new light. The light of his struggle, his honesty that Tapan Sinha shows and the path of humanity.
