Gopal and his chum Prem unaware to each other, give their hearts to Prameela, a college friend, and Prameela in her turn, finds her lifes idol in Prem. Prems father Sir Kaliashnath, however, with the conser- vatism and worldly wisdom habitual to men of experience and successful business career selects Kusum, Gopals sister, as his daughter-in-law Sir Kailashnaths insistence in forcing Kusum on Prem results in an estangement between father and son. . In the mwanwhile, Prem and Gopal find to their great horor that they had centred their love round the same girl. What a bolt from the blue! The unkindest thrust of misfortune coems from the quarter least expected. The security and lavish comforts of a luxurious home, a mothers yearning love, Prem has thrown up all for his love only to meet frustration by a rival and that rival his dearst frend. What happens next? . Prem, great in love, rises to a greater hight by sacrificing himslef at the alter of love. The brilliant and beautiful Prameela casts all the sun shine out ot her and helps Kusum, attain her hearts desire. . Last but not the least. The jolly old Munim and his devil-may-care associate Gangadhar enliven the whole picture in their happy-go-lucky ways and escapades. To the credit of the Munim he brings about a happy reunion between parents and son and the silver screen unfolds the final denouncement in a scene perervading with peace and happiness for all.
