Jangal Mein Mangal 1972

Jangal Mein Mangal is a 1972 Indian Bollywood comedy film released on 1972. The film is directed by Rajendra Bhatia, produced by Rajendra Bhatia.

Biology Professor Laxmi, in the company of nine of her students, and a convent nun, Sophia, go on a field trip in Kerala, Southern India. Upon arrival, they decide to stay there at a Public Rooming House, which also happens to house another group of students, this time all male, headed by Retired Colonel M.K. Das. After several misunderstandings both the groups compromise and decide to pass the rest of their temporary stay in peace. But fate has other plans for them, for Sophia is killed, apparently murdered by a zombie-like creature, dressed in black, who lives in a nearby grave-yard. Before the police and the others could react, a male student is killed. Three male students do encounter this creature, but it manages to over-power all three, and no amount of force or bullets can stop it. It's main motive seems to kill anyone who stands in it's way, including the police!

A woman-hater Professor and short-tempered, man-hating lady principal on an outing with the Biology students come close to each other. The students in turn expose the corruption in the village and solve the mystery behind the "ghost" murders to bring the villainous zamindar to book. - A group of boys and girls, all students of Biology, sets out on a botanical research to a far off location. The boys are headed by a stubborn professor, a confirmed bachelor and woman-hater. . Leading the girls groups is a shartp-tongued, short-tempered lady principal who hates man. . As luck would have it, they are all housed in the Dak Bungalow which is on the outskirts of a village. Despite strict vigilance on both the sides, the teenagers bump into each other leading to clashes. But each clash results in a clash of smiles with the boys and girls falling for each other head over heels. . One day, while researching, the man-hating lady principal finds a snake near her feet. Out of sheer fight, she clings to the bachelor professor and like the touch of Venus, cupid has a snap. . During their stay in the village, the students come to know about the otrageous deeds of a local zamindar who had a devoured the land and a dilapidated old temple. The villagers had started agitating against the fradulent possession of the temple. But a corrupt official was sheilding the zamindar. The students take up cudgels on behalf of the villagers and brings a new awakening among them. . The government officer admonishes the boys by warning them that the students should not participate in politics. But he is duly snubbed by the professor who tells them. "As and when it suits politicians, they drag the students in politics and when the wrath of the students turns upon them, they conveniently advise them to keep off politics. . The village is also afflicted with the mysterious murders of innocent people at the hands of a "ghost". The students refuse to swallow the ghost and resolve to unravel the mystery. Bravely they unmask the self-styled ghost and expose the scheming zamindar to the holt. . In the end " Jangal Mein Mangal" poses a question that if all our students spread out to every nook and corner of the country and fight corruption, maladministration and law-breakers, it would not be difficult to eradicate the evils of society in a day.
