Jawani Zindabad 1990

Jawani Zindabad is a 1990 Indian Bollywood romance film released on Aug 17, 1990. The film is directed by Arun Bhatt, produced by Jay Mehta.
This is the story of three friends named as Shashi, Akbar and a group of young guys pledge never to give nor receive any dowry from their future fiancées. Acting against his mother’s desires, Shashi is in love with Sugandha Srivastav and both get married to each other, and does not take any dowry. He arranges his sister’s wedding named as Rama with Ravi Verma, the boy of Goverdhan and Shakuntala. Goverdhan and Shakuntala did not give him any amount in the dowry, and are quite agitated, though Ravi is very happy. Both want Ravi to get married again, so that they can get enough dowries to fulfill their desires. They shoot Ravi away, and Goverdhan plans to accidentally murder Rama, but things don’t go as planned, and instead Shakuntala gets badly injured in this heinous act, and has been taken to the hospital. Taking this moment, Goverdhan blames Rama for attempting to murder Shakuntala, and he is arrested by the police. Shashi will have to work together to get the things right and free his sister Shakuntala.

The story is about a small family comprising of Aamir Khan, his mother, his brother & his sister. Aamir Khan is a chartered accountant who falls in love with any good looking girl. He always misunderstands infatuation with love. One day he goes to a wedding with his friend where he sees the brides father being harrassed for dowry. Farah is the bride and she stops the wedding seeing her father get harrassed. Her father gets depressed & wonders who will accept his daughter. Aamir Khan comes forward & proposes to her. She refuses saying that she can't respect any man & if she can't respect any man how can she marry a man. However ultimately they do get married. The decide not to consummate the marriage till Aamir's sister is married. Aamir's sister is in love with Utpal Dutt's son. Aamir arranges their wedding but Utpal Dutt asks for dowry. Aamir promises that he will give dowry in the marriage hall. Every thing was going perfect, suddenly the dowry money gets lost. Utpal Dutt gets angry and leaves the girl alone. Next day Aamir takes his sister to their house saying that she is Javed's wife & she will stay here. He also shows the love letters Javed had written to his sister. Days pass and Aamir's sister gets pregnant. Utpal Dutt decides to kill the child and makes a plan to burn her. But instead his wife gets burnt. In anger, Utpal Dutt calls some goons and asks them to kill Aamir Khan. Javed gets hurt trying to save Aamir. Seeing all this, Utpal Dutt realises his mistake and apologizes.
