The story starts with the introduction of Yash Raichand who is a businessman. He is living happily with his family with two sons Rahul and Rohan. Rahul returns to India after a very long interval of time and he is happy to live with his family. Rahul is an adopted child still he is loved the most. One day, while he goes to his Dadijaan’s area, he meets with Anjali. Anjali is a very vivacious and a Punjabi kudi who is the owner of a sweet shop. There he coincidentally meets with Anjali and falls in love with her. But due to Anjali’s father’s death, Rahul decides to marry her. Yash Raichand is against his wedding, and he orders Anjali and Rahul to get away from his place. Anjali and Rahul along with Anjali’s sister, Pooja lives in London. After years leap, Rahul and Anjali are living with their son, Krish, sister Pooja and Daaijaan. So, Rohan after knowing about them decides to bring back that lost happiness and unite his family. Rohan goes to London to pursue his management degree course and there he falls in love with Pooja. Pooja after knowing that Rohan has come to unite his family, decides to help him in this. Rohan decides to bring Yashwardhan and his wife, Nandani in London and there Nandani meets with her son Rahul. Rahul is happy to see his mother whereas Yashwardhan meets with Anjali. Then the film is loaded with loads and loads of melodrama. It is after this, Rahul comes to know of the true identity of Rohan. The family has to leave for India, as Rahul’s grandmother is died. So, they perform all the funeral rites and Rahul decides to leave India. But this time, Yashwardhan accepts his wrongdoings and happily welcomes Rahul, Anjali and Krish to their family. The film ends with the wedding ceremony of Rohan and Pooja. The film has a very keen concept and it makes you realize the importance of Parents in our lives. No doubt, Shahrukh’s and Kajol’s chemistry is magical on the screens, but Kareena’s and Hritik’s chemistry is all spellbinding. The film has many positive and high ends to keep the audiences on their places. The film has got excellent songs and they go well with every passing scene. The custom designer, especially the outfits designed for Kareena is outstanding. It makes you realize that she is modern and a free woman. The dialogues written are no doubt, always a plus point in Karan Johar’s movie. The film’s location in London is indeed a positive point in the film. This film also shows the importance of India even in foreign countries. Anjali’s character is ‘MADE IN INDIA’ types. The supporting cast has also given their best to make this film happening.
