Kahaani is a 2012 Indian Bollywood drama, thriller film released on Mar 09, 2012. The film is directed by Sujoy Ghosh, produced by Sujoy Ghosh under banner named Pen India Pvt. Ltd, music composed by Vishal-Shekhar.

The story of Kahaani is a thriller based story and concept with suspense and many superb plots that keep the viewer busy till the end. The story starts with a pregnant woman, Vidya Bagchi (Vidya Balan). He lands to Kolkata in search of her husband all the way from London Arnav Bagchi.

She then faces many challenges in the solving the mystery of her lost husband. The city also pretends to tell the identity of her hatband. There exists no evidence to show that her husband was there in the city of Kolkata. She later takes the help of a police officer (Parambrata Chatterjee).In the entire journey Parambrata helps her to solve the mystery. Meanwhile, he also develops some affection for the lady. The story keeps on engaging till the end. There are many astonishing plots in the movie that keeps the viewer’s very keen with the subject.

The story gets more engaging when people involved in the case get murdered and the investigating bureau is also very keen in finding her missing husband. The story’s entire climax lies at the end and is depicted very beautifully. Vidya Balan has done a very amazing wok for her role and the entire supporting casts have beautifully supported her.
