Kamalar Banabas 1998

Kamalar Banabas is a 1998 Indian Bengali family film released on 1998. The film is directed by Swapan Saha.

Kamala was the only daughter of King Shanchi and his wife Chitra. One day Kamala meets Kanchan Kumar who was also a prince. Kanchan Kumar saved Kamala from some anti socials who were chasing her. After that both Kamala and Kanchan Kumar fall in love. Their parents agreed and they got married. On the night of the marriage an ascetic, Chamunda Tantrik met with Kanchan Kumar. He askss him to bring Nil Padda from Nil Sardar which was a promise of his father to God Bholanath. Now when his father is not alive Kanchan Kumar needs to complete the work and hence Kanchan Kumar went away, leaving his wife and taking the permission of his mother. On his way one night he dreamt that two fairies were discussing that if any child was born today his destiny will be very bright. Kanchan Kumar felt uneasy and wanted to meet his wife. Again the ascetic came and helped him to visit his wife. His wife was very supprised to see him, Kanchan Kumar left the next morning after spending the entire night with his wife. The next day Kanchan's mother could realise the presence of some one on her daughter-in-law's room. When she asked Kamala said it was Kanchan, but she did not belive and thought some one else could have come. Kamala was taken to her court and she received death penalty. But Kamala ran away into the forest. Later she discovered that she was pregnant. A kind man and his wife took Kamala to their house. There she delivered a son, Manik Kumar. But her son was interchanged with another lady who gave birth to a dead child. Kamala hearing the news wept for her child. The child Manik Kumar grew up and one day the ascetic came again and gave Manik Kumar his original identity. One day Kamala found her son, she demanded her son back. The case was taken to the King and all the culprits were punished. Finally Kamala got her son back on the other hand Kanchan Kumar came back to his empire with the "Nil Padda" and discovered that his wife is no more in the palace. He immediately went out to search for his wife and finally after searching through many places over many days he found his wife and his child. All were re-united again and came back to this palace happily.
