Kanchan, was the only daughter of her father. She was looking forward for marriage with Surendra with hopes and enthusiasm. But fate had decided otherwise. . Nirmala, a daughter of a rich man was also in love with Surendra and Kanchans father had promised Manoharlal (Nirmalas father) to arrange marriage between Nirmala and Surendra. . Poor Kanchan had sacrificed her love on alter fo duty over (her) necklace, a token of love given by Surendra to Nirmala. She did not want to come in way of Nirmala and Surendra. But she was helpless as her brother was charged with murder, she had to go otten to Surendra for legal advise. Nirmala misunderstood. . Jealously overpowered her and she was prepared to do anything and everything to secure her love. . Virendra, the manager had his eye over her property and so he took the advantage of her this weakness. . Putting false allegation on Kanchans purity he provccated Nirmala and in provocation Nirmala took a wrong path and miseries, pains and sorrows awaited her.
