Krantikal is a 1993 Indian Bengali political,crime film released on 1993. The film is directed by Amal Sur, produced by Amal Sur , music composed by Asim Chattopadhyay.

This is a political story. Harida and Paritosh (Satya Banerjee & Dilip Roy respectively ) were social workers. In their absense the area becomes an ‘adda’ of antisocials. These antisocials were made by Ashu (Anup Kumar) a cadet of the party and Batuda ( Robi Ghosh ) the MLA. Hullo who was a singer become an antisocial as he was deprived by everybody. Ashu captured all the members of his family, except Bini (Sumitra) who was Hullo’s elder sister. Jhini, Hullo’s younger sister become a prostitute with the help of ashu. Bhaben a renouned figure of the area tried to take steps against Ashu and his pals, but he was killed. Ashu assured his gangmen that they all would get jobs if they worked for him. Finally, they all kill Ashu and surrender to the police. This is a movie which sends a message to the society to awaken all the youngsters against the political antisocials.
