Shamshir Singh who has deserted the British Army and joinded Azad Hind Fouj, is given shelter from the pursuing Britishers in Hong Kong by Suzy, a local girl, with whom he falls in love. After six months he has to return to india and when he finds Suzy pregnant he marries her, promising to come back after independence to fetch her and their child. In India, he confides to his wife Laju about Suzy and the child.
However, while looting a British Bank, he is betrayed by his comrade Shankar who tries to flee with the looted gold but he in turn is duped by his accomplice Mac who gets himself arrested after secretly dumping the gold in a lake. After independence, while Suzy with her son awaits the return of Shamshir Singh to Hong Kong, Laju's son Raj grows up to become a police officer. Raj follows Mac on his release from jail which leads him to his father's killer Shankar, now known as Devidayal.
Raj finds that the diver brought by Devidayal from Hong Kong for salvaging gold from the lake, is actually the son of Suzy i.e. his stepbrother. While investigating Devidayal's activities, Raj comes into contact and falls in love with Roma-Devi, girl-owner of a Tea Estate in Darjeeling, who was caught in the web of Devidayal.
Does Raj meet his brother? does Devidayal succeed in unearthing gold? what happes to Suzy, Roma-Devi and others?

Its a story of Second World War when Indian Soldiers in Hong Kong. He is sawed by Helen, the local in habitant. Both fall in love - Vinod leaves Hong Kong, comes to India - where his wife is waiting for him. Vinod, Ranjit and other associates plans to rob bank where gold bricks are locked, But Ranjit traps Vinod and kills him. The looted gold in a car is drawn in the lake. As the time lapse, Ranjit becomes millimaire. He is in a search of water diver from Hong Kong. Danny son of Helen is appointed for this job. He is annoyed with his fathers (Vinod) who had promised his mother that one day he will return to Hong Kong. . Vinod Khannas another son (Vinod) is a CID officer, who is appointed to sort out the gold scam . Vinod cimes to know that the diver from Hong Kong is not any other person but his brother. . Vinod tries to convience danny, for his grievances against his fathers but he is stub born and disagrees with his statements. . Vinod and Danny both are in love with Shabana but Shabana loves only Vinod. . As the film progresses - Vinod is kept as a captive by Ranjeet in end the day comes when the final mission of gold serch is being carried on. . By Ranjeets verious, Danny comes to know the truth that he had killed (Vinod) by be traying him. . Danny revolts against Ranjeet and Co. Vinod and Danny is end destroys Ranjits and his associates.
