They may have not made it big as actors, but as producers, they definitely are on target. Both Zayed Khan and Dia Mirza as first-time producers have come up with a winner on their hands. LOVE, BREAKUPS, ZINDAGI is a story that is close to everyone's heart, no matter what age you are at. It has as its central theme relationship complications, which are not new to anyone. The movie also dwells on that 'once in a lifetime moment' that you have to be able to grasp

Wait and watch, yes. But what if the wait turns out to be endless and there isn't too much to watch since the plot keeps going round and round in repetitive circles about comings and goings between a bunch of confused people. Ironically, your patience is completely worn out by the first half, which believe it or not, is entirely used to shoot a Punjabi wedding sequence. Okay, DDLJ also used the entire second half to conduct its famous wedding, but remember

Love and breakups have become a common component of urban zindagi. As much as predictability has become a part of most romantic comedies. This zillionth Bollywood spin-off on the second half of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is no different! Jai (Zayed Khan) and Naina (Dia Mirza) are in their individual mismatched relationships. Until they meet in a common friend's wedding. Amidst song-dance routine, cupid strikes Jai by the interval point. Naina is uncertain

Love Breakups Zindagi should be treated as a stepping stone to something more substantial — and original — from the threesome.

My final take – it is difficult to rate a movie like Love Breakups Zindagi, which isn’t good enough to be called a ‘must-see’ nor bad enough to be called a ‘must-not-see’.

He’s young, in his early thirties, yet already twice divorced. His father was in the ball bearing business, which as you may guess, must be a fact quite hard to grow up with. Kids at school would give him a hard time, his dad was after all the “ball bearing man.” Now he’s single, funny, doing considerably better with a “Rs 84,000 post-tax salary.” He has his eyes on a woman (Tisca Chopra) who’s 38, teaches Urdu at a university. “In which language does she teach

Too long by at least thirty minutes, 'Love Breakups Zindagi' is the kind of over-familiar schmaltz that might have felt less of a slog, had it featured charismatic leads with sizzling chemistry. But Zayed Khan and Dia Mirza can't unfortunately pull off this film's cliche-ridden screenplay that borrows heavily from the Aditya Chopra/Karan Johar brand of breezy, urban romances. It all starts at (where else!) a big fat North Indian wedding, where our protagonists meet as strangers

Love. Dates. Marriage. Commitments. Relationships. Do we ever ponder on what we leave behind, as we move ahead in life? Not many of us introspect. But LOVE BREAKUPS ZINDAGI, a slice of life film, makes you recall certain episodes of your life. Though the film isn't biographical, one does relate to certain episodes in the narrative for two reasons -- they seem straight out of life and of course, first-time writer-director Sahil Sangha makes an effort

Yet another Friday and one more rom-com with a self-explanatory title in theatres. Love Breakups Zindagi (as expected) is all about love, life, romance, relationships, guilt and a few tears. An abundance of emotions which hopefully will culminate in a win-win situation for several confused characters two and a half hours later. Some songs and dance routines. Wise mothers. Fun-loving grandmothers. A predictable storyline... time to move on.

Love Breakups Zindagi is yet another film that falls under the bracket of generic, politically-correct, boring rom-coms involving a triangle (or in this case, a half-baked quadrangle) inspired by every major hit romcom you've seen before: from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to Mohabbatein to Dil Chahta Hai to those badly imagined 80-rupee rubbish paperbacks by the 'new wave' of young Indian authors. It's like a condensed version of all of these, with their edge taken off

Love Breakups Zindagi is yet another romcom. Fortunately, it doesn't fall as flat as some of its predecessors. A sincere attempt by debut director Sahil Sangha, the film talks about three couples at various stages, and in different situations of romance. Naina (Dia Mirza) is in a relationship with a workaholic who refuses to accept just how incompatible they are on all levels. Jai (Zayed Khan) is a happy-go-lucky-guy stuck in a sad relationship with a control freak

On the whole, LOVE BREAKUPS ZINDAGI has moments that leave an impression, but they are few and far between. Besides, a weak second hour, excessive length and sluggish pacing makes it a tedious experience!

The story of two people, who are already engaged to their respective partners, falling in love has been done several times before, but yet director Sahil Sangha’s Love Breakups Zindagi has just enough spark not to be dismissed entirely.

Relationships leading to proposals. Proposals leading to marriage. Leading to `Love BreakUps Zindagi’. This film, by a brand new director and a couple of actors who’ve been on the sidelines for a while, treads familiar territory with absolutely no distinction : everywhere you turn, there are references to older, better films. Naina (Mirza) has been dating an industrious fellow for a while, but you know right off that they are not going to end up together
