Mandira 1990

Mandira is a 1990 Indian Bengali drama,romance film released on 1990. The film is directed by Sujit Guha, produced by Pahlaj Nihalani.

It is a triangular love story. Mandira was a popular singer. Santunu was a motor mechanic but he also sings very well. Santunu loved Dipa. Santunu was a fan of Mandira's song. Santunu's mother arranged the wedding of Santunu and Dipa. Santunu wanted to give a gold ring to Dipa. So he went to a jwellery shop and when he was coming back some hooligans tried to kill him with a knife. Then they threw Santunu's body in a river. On the other hand, everyone thought that he was dead. Dipa wanted to commit suicide but she was saved by Mithu. Mithu was the son of a priest. Dipa took shelter in the priest's house. Dipa was pregnant. She became blind when she tried to commit suicide. Santunu came back from the hospital and felt sorry for Dipa. Mandira and Santunu became friends. Then they sang together. Mandira loved Santunu. Santunu's mother decided to marry off Santunu with Mandira. One day a boy was injured by Santunu's car. That was Dipa's boy. Santunu admitted the boy into a hospital and he came to know that the boy's mother was blind. So, Mandira paid all the hospital fees for the eye operation. The operation was successful and after some days Dipa came to know that Santunu is alive. But Mandira forced Dipa to promise that she would not go to their wedding ceremony. Finally Mandira understood her mistake. Then she went away. At last we see that Dipa and her son came to the wedding ceremony. Santunu weds Dipa.
