Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Mando Meyer Upakshan (2003)
The film depicts the tale of Lati, the daughter of a prostitute . Young Lati however aspires to get education and endeavours to escape the situation she was born into. Coincldental with man's first voyage to moon is the journey of this girl's hopes. Her mother Rajani wants her to become the kept of a voyeurist old man . But Lati implores her school teacher to talk to her mother .Her mother however does not agree to the master's proposal of getting her educated in Kolkata, because the rich man had offered to take her away as well. But Lati is able to escape from the brothel, when a prostitute murders her husband who tried to coerce money from her. Lati is dropped till the station by the rich man's kindhearted driver, who helped others. Lati leaves for Kolkata with her school master on the day the rocket to the moon takes off. Just like her another three brothel girls also walk out of their trade in search of freedom and an alternative life.
