Story

Mangala is a 2011 Indian Telugu thriller film released on Mar 04, 2011. The film is directed by Tulasi Ram, produced by Ch V Sharma under banner named Mantra Entertainments.

Mangala is a thriller genre film, where Charmi is playing the title role. The story of the movie starts with Charmi as Ammulu, who’s made quite a name for herself as an actress. One day, a crazy fan of hers tries to meet her and in the process she misunderstands that he tried to molest her and she slaps him. Disheartened by this incident, he commits suicide.

His father (Pradeep Rawat) tries his best to convince Ammulu to come and save his son who’s refusing to take medicine unless he meets his favourite actress and eventually he dies.

Pradeep Rawat plans to take revenge for his son’s death by evoking a deadly spell of Black Magic which would mean a certain death for whom it’s being used. Charmi is the victim this time and the rest of the story is about how she tries to deal with the situation and whether she manages to save herself or not.

Tulasi Ram, who has earlier directed Mantra movie and made it an all-time hit for Charmi is once again directing and also producing this movie along with Ch V Sarma. Viswa has scored the music and Sivendra has cranked the camera for the film.

Mangala is about this good-natured movie actress (Charmme), who is possessed by a dangerously dark spell cast upon her by a vengeful sorcerer (Pradeep Rawat). The man's son was unintentionally wronged by the actress, and the unfortunate incident ripples off into a dimension that wreaks total havoc on her life. The plot is predictable, and the film takes twists and turns that you can figure out well in advance. But then, there are a few thrills that are nicely done. There's no tackiness in these scenes, and they suitably quench your anticipation. Horror fans, though, are likely to be put off by how few in number these thrills are.
