Mangalsutra is a 1981 Indian Bollywood drama film released on Apr 10, 1981. The film is directed by B. Vijay, produced by Ravi Kumar.
Vijay and Gayatri are in love with each other and they are soon going to get married. One day, Vijay is haunted with some supernatural things that create confusion in his life. Also, the Mandap catches fire after their wedding. Even before his wedding, come strange things happen. Now, he is not able to recover from this, but after his wedding, both Gayatri and Vijay live happily. But after passing of few days, Vijay goes into some different trauma. Vijay is treated by doctor. But still he cannot recover from the fact. Now, Gayatri calls a tantric and he tells her that Vijay is been possessed by Kamini, who is his college sweetheart and they liked each other. But, due to Vijay denying to get married to her, Kamini committed suicide and her dead body was found.
