Mayer Pran 1941

Mayer Pran is a 1941 Indian Bengali drama,family film released on 1941. The film is directed by Pramathesh Barua.

Neela loved a man in lien of everything of hers. That man turned out to be a beast. Neela gave birth to a child who had no identity. Inspite of all odds, Neela always wanted her son to be grown up one day and to become rich. But she could not understand how it would be possible. So one day she left her son in the back seat of a private car. Satish had come to a restaurant along with his friend to celebrate his achievement of Masters Degree. For some reason he alone came out of the restaurant and heard a child crying from inside a car. He came near the car and took out the child and then the guard of the restaurant came and asked Satish why he was abandoning his son in somebody else's car. Satish was stunned but he had nothing to do. Instead he brought the child to his own house. Six years had passed. In the mean time Satish had became the owner of a big film making company. He directed to make the first film of his company based on his mother's life. The story and crew was finalised. The role of the child in the story would be played by Satish's son but there was no heroine. In search of the heroine Satish came to the redlight area. Satish met Neela and decided to take her in the role of the heroine of his film 'Matri Sneho'. The shooting started. Satish and Neela came closer and closer. Neela knew the child actor was actually Satish's son. One day Neela told Satish all her story. Satish understood that the child was actually Neela's son. Satish told Neela that her son was alive and if Neela wished, she could meet her son in any moment. She came to know that the child artist of the film, "Matri Sneho" was actually her own son. Now Neela was in a dilemma whether to give her son her own identity. She told Satish not to tell her son that she was his actual mother. The shooting was over. Neela was happy. The acting of mother was very good. Neela did not want more than this. But Satish wanted Neela. He wanted to marry her. Neela resisted him. Satish's marriage was fixed with a girl named Ramala. Satish knew Ramala from childhood. He liked Ramala but never thought of marrying her. So he refused the proposal of marriage. Neela was ready to leave, but that day the studio caught fire. Every body started shouting. But nobody could feel what was going to happen if the print of the film got damaged by the fire. Only Neela felt what could happen, so she rushed into the studio. She saved the film but could not save her life. Neela died.
