This film has as its protagonst a righteous anti-social named Fatakeshto who is the right-hand man of a corrupt home minister but goes against the minister when the minister tries to evict the dwellers of an asylum where he resided. When the minister saw no other way of acquring the land he set the slums on fire on Diwali day. Fatakeshto's son is injured in the fire. His wife admonishes him. He decides to turn over a new leaf. He confronts the home minister who had come to visit the site. He holds him responsble for it. The minister challenges him to become a minister for 7 days and understand the toughness of the situation. This verbal duel between them takes place on air. He accepts the challenge. Public opinion expressed through sms polls also demand a change. Home minister threatens the news channel, but the reporter Chaitali is not shaken, she cooperates with Fatakeshto to fight corruption and the corrupt home minister. She bails Fatakeshto out when the minister sends him to jail. She reveals the reason for her hatred towards minister; he had killed her journalist father as he had written about his illegal activities. Chief minister summons cabinet meeting wanting to reinstate Fatakesto as public opinion is on his side. It is done keeping in mind the upcoming elections. CM meets him, it is revealed that he was his student in college. He is disillusioned to see him in this state . But he promises that he would do his best wthin 7 days. He is sworn in. Home minister decides to wait and watch and if he did anything he would held responsible. On the first day he asks policemen to open up all files and work on them. He orders to place complaint boxes in every corner and see to the solution of these problems. Next day he takes care of ration crisis by beating up corrupt dealers. Doctors who cheted people by even feigning to treat dead bodies, he beats them also to reform them. Next pension MLA problem solved. Gradually corrupt people resort to honesty in the fear of him. Corrupt minster strikes on 6th day. Agitatiion sparked off between members of rival parties he beats up and sends them to police station. Officer murders him and Ftakeshto isaccused of murdering with a false postmortem report. CM is disillusioned. He gets original post mortem certifcate. His term ends. People congratulate . A minister plots with opposition leader to kill CM but Fatakeshto rescues him. He is accused of kidnapping him. CM is sent to the hospitall. Ulimately final confrontation between him and the corrupt police officer and home minister takes place. Public beat them up and kill them.
