Mon Maane Naa is a 2008 Indian Bengali romance film released on Dec 05, 2008. The film is directed by Sujit Guha, produced by Surinder Singh.

•Riya (Koel), the daughter of wealthy businessman flees from home one day as her father wants to get her married to her father’s friend’s son though she loves some one else. She decides to go to Darjeeling to join her boyfriend but on the way in the bus, she comes across Rahul (Dev), a thief carrying a necklace shifted in a small world who hides it in Riya’s bag. A thief steals Riya’s bag and flees, but Riya and Rahul track him down, but the necklace is not on him. Riya’s father gives an advertisement in the papers and some goons come across it and try to kidnap Riya when they come across her, but Riya prevents them. Meanwhile a cop Rahman (Tapas Pal) arrives in Siliguri in search of Rahul. Riya and Rahul land up at his place in Siliguri as he is actually a native of that place. Over there Riya comes to know that Rahul comes from a well to do family and is not actually a thief, but has stolen the necklace to pay for his sister’s wedding and for the treatment of his nephew. Riya gives the necklace to Rahul, but takes it from him and tells him that she would go and sell it as no one knows her. She takes the necklace and gives it to Rahman under the condition the no harm would come to Rahul. She asks her father to send Rs. 20 lakhs which she gives to Rahul without him suspecting any thing and she goes back to her father. Rahman goes to Rahul and tells him the truth. Rahul goes to Kolkata, but overcomes an obstacle in the form of goons though they also beat him up. He arrives at Riya’s place and wins her over.

Rahul & Ria met as they are travelling to Siliguri both for reasons of their own. Ria is running away to meet her boyfriend while Rahul’s reason is sell his steal. The destination however for both are the hills of Darjeeling.
Rahul and Ria are bound by fate here onwards. They knowingly steps into each others life as well as behind each other’s back as they travel, as Rahul hides his steal in Ria’s bag. It gets into the hands of a thief…… For Rahul the steal is the only hope, and that is something Ria realizes on visiting Rahul’s family.
Things take a turn around when Ria is heart broken, as her relationship with her boyfriend falls apart.
She offers to aid Rahul one hand and makes a deal with her father on the other. As things falls into place for one…… The world shatters for the other.
Couples are made in heaven…… Love becomes inevitable when two people cross each other’s path and passes through the good and the bad times.
Rahul and Ria meets again but in an altogether different circumstances...This time neither is it in an alien land nor are they alone.
Ria has to decide…… So does Rahul……
Because at times your HEART JUST DOESN'T ACCEPT OTHERWISE...
