Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Moner Ajante (2009)
Sanju Roychoudhury arrives at Mumbai from Kalighat (Kolkata) and takes up a job at Mr. Banerjee’s office. Initially Sanju fails disassociated with the aura and longs to return home. But Mr. Benerjee personally meets and asks Sanju to stay at Mumbai and work for him. Sanju makes a friend in Khargosh and begins to do his work seriously. He meets Mr. Banerjee’s only daughter Sumita and her friends. Love blossoms amongst the two. While Sanju realizes that he loves Sumita, she fails to understand that friendship was actually love. Meanwhile Sumita’s fiancé Avijit arrives from USA and plays spoilsport. Though Sanju decides to step aside, the villainous Avijit creates a havoc by trying to murder Sanju. He fails and gets arrested and flees again. Sanju goes back to Kolkata without informing anyone. Sumita realizes that she loves Sanju while searching his whereabouts, Sumita meets Sanju’s rich father Mr. Roychoudhury and hears how Sanju had spent a miserable childhood because of his misdeeds. Sumita arrives at Kolkata, meets Sanju and brings him back to Mumbai. But the lovers are attacked by Avijit and his gang. Sumita gets shot amidst the tussle and dies on the way to the hospital. Sanju looses his mind and turns out to become an insane at a sanatorium.
