Anjali prays to Kali Mata to give her back her husband who was her very life. . When Surit comes back from Calcutta he finds Shyam with Sumitra. He becomes a victim of jealousy and makes a murderous assault on both. . "My lifes been like a crooked muddy little track compared with the fine calm roadway of yours, Shyam ! So I go out to maek up for all the shabbiness of my life." . Surit Babu makes a confession before the Magistrate that he has committed two murders.
