Lord Sree Krishna came to Suryapith with his friend Akrur. There they met Satyabhama, daughter of Sarajeet. Inspite of Sree Krishna's objection Akrur went to Satrajeet's house with a proposal to marry Satyabhama. But Satyabhama addressed him as a brother. So Akrur became very angry on Sree Krishna. The moment Satyabhama saw Sree Krishna she fell in love with him. Not knowing this Satrajeet decided Satyabhama's marriage with his friend's son Kritabarma. Jarasandha, king of Magadh, wished to marry Jambabati, daughter of Jamboban, king of Bindhyachal. Jambabati said if Jarasandha could bring the priceless Syamantak stone from Satrajeet she would marry him. Satadhanya, younger brother of Kritabarma came forward to help Jarasandha. Satadhanya had a secret wish to marry Satyabhama. Jarasandha agreed to help Satadhanya with his soldiers. The condition was to bring the precious stone Syamantak. Satadhanya with the help of Jarsundha's soldiers attacked Satrajeet. Seeing no way out Satrajeet sought shelter from Sree Krishna. Sree Krishna defeated Satadhanya in the war and then started for Dwarka with Satyabhama and Satrajeet. Satrajeet had a doubt that Sree Krishna perhaps was helping him only for the precious Syamantak. So he kept the stone in his younger brother Prasan'a custody. Jarasandha's spy killed Prasan and took away the stone. That spy was also eventually killed by Jamboban. In search of the stone Sree Krishna came to Jamboban's kingdom Bindhyachal. There he killed Jamboban and took away the Syamantak stone. On the night of Sree Krishna -Satybhamas's marriage, Satyabhama with the help of Akrur killed Satrajeet and took away the stone. But he was caught and ultimately killed in the hand of Sree Krishna.
