Nayaner Alo 1998

Nayaner Alo is a 1998 Indian Bengali family film released on Jan 30, 1998. The film is directed by Swapan Saha.

Jiban is a Jatra Singer. Aalo, a village girl loves him. Aalo's father Choudhury does not likes Jiban. So he stopped their meeting. Choudhury also through village Panchayet banned Jiban's singing. Jiban had to leave the village after his mother's death. Jiban reached Calcutta. He meets Mantu, a taxi driver. Mantu gives him shelter in his own house. Nayana is Mantu's sister. One day Nayana tells Jiban about Mantu's past. He had a children and a child. But both of them died. Jiban gets a mentor Runa. Runa successfully launches Jiban as a stage singer. Runa's boyfriend Gaurab wants to supress Runa's success. So he brought Aalo as his dancer-singer to Calcutta. Gaurab launches her in a new name “Tanushree”. Jiban comes to see the function and finds Aalo. Aalo denies her past identity. Jiban wants to leave singing. Mantu, Nayana, Runa - everyone comes to know Aalo is Jiban's everything. So they all convince Aalo to accept Jiban. On her way to Jiban, Aalo met with an accident and she became blind. In the mean time suddenly Nayana falls ill and it was detected that she is suffering from Blood Cancer. One day Nayana dies, but before her death she had made a will that after her death she will donate her eyes to Aalo. So Aalo gets back her vision and Jiban gets back Aalo.
