Nilanguriya is a 1943 Indian Bengali drama,family film released on Jul 30, 1943. The film is directed by Gunamoy Bandyopadhyay, produced by Sudhir Ranjan Sarkar under banner named Eastern Talkies Ltd., music composed by Subal Dasgupta.

A village youth Sailen was appointed teacher of Taru, daughter of Calcutta's famous barrister Mr. Roy. There he met Taru's elder sister Mira. Mira started liking him. Barrister Roy and his wife Aparna treated him as their son. One day Sailen returned to his village getting a letter from his friend Anil. He found Anil a very happy family man with his wife Amburi. In the meantime he meets his childhood friend Soudamini. Soudamini at the time was wife of a very old man. One day he and Soudamini very close. Mira suddenly came to the village. Sailen was very happy seeing her in his village. They returned to Calcutta. But Mira could not proceed much, as their status were different. Anil informed Sailen that Soudamini had became widow. Sailen returned to his village. Anil requested him to take the responsibility of Soudamini. Otherwise she might commit suicide. Sailen returned to Calcutta again without committing anything. Then Mira told Sailen one day to accept her. Sailen could not resist himself. He accepted Mira and gave shelter to Soudamini also.
