Nyaydanda 1990

Nyaydanda is a 1990 Indian Bengali drama,family film released on 1990. The film is directed by Sukhen Das.

Not surprisingly in Sukhen Das movie ' Nay dandya' lots of effort can be seen to build a perfect family drama. Though the situation is against all circumstances but honest effort, faith & patience are the key factors for success - this is quite beautifully shown in the movie. Mohan Majumdar (Arjun Chakroborty) with his wife Seema (Punam Dhilon) & daughter -are a perfect happy family of recent age. Wicked politician became minister by help of his rich & renownd father in law Usha Babu (Utpal Dutta), irresponsible police officer Digon Ghosh (Biplab Chattyapadhya) & unabashed rigging. Being an honest police officer Mohan can't tolerate these, as a resu;t he is sent to jail for six years by the successful planning of his oppsition. His wife was raped by the minister and daughter was supposedly murdered. Seema got shelter at advocate Monica Chatterjee's (Rajeshwari Roy Chawdhri) house and became a famous stage singer according to plan. Apparently their daughter Mili got a place at Chami (Sukhen Das) & his wife Basanti (Papia Adikari). Finally Mohan got his family and the minister got his right position - at the jail. The entire movie shows us how still today the poor are cheated by the upper level as well as what is the real distinction of a wicked criminal. In both cases a director like Sukhan Das deftly proves his skill, imotion & justification.
