The movie, ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara’ is the story of a criminal don, Shoaib (Akshay Kumar), who slayed his guide in the previous (Once Upon A Time in Mumbai) to advance sovereignty and is now the dominant mafia ruler. The story of Shoaib, a criminal don who came to influence by murdering his guide and has protracted his empire with the help of his best friend, Javed, and his previous lover, Mumtaz. His effect and influence has spread right up to the Middle East, nowadays. Shoaib is now a colourful, polished man who is dreaded and respected. Shoaib's only intimates are his best friend Javed, who supervises his kingdom for him and his previous lover Mumtaz (Sonali Bendre) who is now his closest pal. He frequently visits the lowly Muslim parts where he grew up and it is on one such social call that he comes across Aslam (Imran Khan). He proceeds taking him in his extensions and progressively Aslam develops into one of his favorites.
