Palangal 1982

Palangal is a 1982 Indian Malayalam film released on 1982. The film is directed by Bharathan.
The story starts with Usha. She comes to her sister’s place just to overcome a tragedy that had happened. The tragedy in her life was the accidental death of her lover, Ravi. She then meets with Ramankutty, who is the close friend of Menon. Menon is the husband of her sister. Their friendship grows into love, but Ramankutty’s family doesn’t accept their relationship. Then one day, Usha starts feeling that Menon has feelings for her and she decides to leave her sister’s place. Without telling anyone, she leaves the house and on the way Ramankutty tells her that his mother had accepted them. Usha(Zarina Wahab) comes to her sister's house for relief from a terrible tragedy of her life which is the accidental death of her lover Ravi played by Shankar. In the new place she met Ramankutty played by Nedumudi Venu who is friend of Vasu Menon(Bharath Gopi) husband of her sister. Their friendship eventually turn into love, but Ramankutty's mother does not allow this proposal. Usha slowly realizes that Vasu Menon's feelings for her are wayward, but she does not tell her sister as she fears that this will ruin their family. So Usha decides to go back to her home on the way she meets Ramankutty who has convinced his mother about he marrying Usha.
