The latest Paranormal Activity, No. 4, is unlikely to attract new viewers to this horror series; by now you’ve signed on or not. But there are reasons these movies persist, mainly a consistency and a determination not to overreach; understatement and adherence to form carry these films. Paranormal Activity 4 will please the fans, and that should sustain this low-budget, highly profitable franchise. In a surprising — and refreshing — Paranormal first

Paranormal Activity must be the only horror franchise that, with every instalment, gets relatively better. The advancement in technology used in the recording of the said activity which serves as the narrative in the found-footage sub-genre of horror is welcome. Shaking off the sophomoric look of its predecessors, PA 4 goes forward with the propositions of Paranormal Activity 2 and Paranormal Activity 3, which expanded on the first film

THE reason Paranormal Activity continues to be a successful franchise is how well it blends it with the "normal". Here again, great care is taken to ensure that the story of Katie is carried forward amidst a warm and loving but familiarly distracted family. The scares may be few and far between, and almost laughable in the way movie No.4 brings these to a finale, but the interludes are too nicely filled out for us to complain too much

When Paranormal Activity 4 (PA4) opens, five years would have elapsed since a possessed Katie Featherston went on a killing spree and abducted her nephew Hunter. Perhaps I should have begun the review with “spoiler alert”, but I doubt viewers would spend their entertainment rupee on the fourth instalment, without a pretty good idea of what went before. Finally after two prequels to the original found footage horror franchise, the story is moving on

After the first film came out in 2007, the sequels have been nothing but remakes of the original with diminishing scary moments. The first and even second installment worked as a 'found footage' horror film but post that, the franchise hasn't been able to modify in order to keep the audiences hooked, owing to its repetitive storylines, spooky events and pretty much everything else. Paranormal Activity 4 takes off where the 2nd installment ended
