Parashmoni is a 1988 Indian Bengali drama,family film released on 1988. The film is directed by Tarun Majumdar, music composed by Hemanta Mukherjee.

In a village, there was a family of three brothers. Elder brother Bipin (Santu Mukherjee) and his wife Gauri (Sandhya Roy) struggled very much to establish two younger brothers Binu (Kaushik Banerjee) and Biju (Tapos Paul). Binu become a lawyer. Biju studied in a college and he had a childhood relation with Mitul (Satabdi). Baikantha Roy (Satya Bondopadhyay) was very kind to Bipin and his family. He got ready to go to Kashi. In the mean time his cousin Manoda (Gita De) comes with her son Nilmoni (Biplab Chatterjee) and daughter Kanoklata (Sanghamitra). Baikuntha and Bipin gave Binu and Kanakalta’s marriage, and Baikuntha went to Kashi giving his all money to Bipin. Manoda, Nilmoni and Kanaklata started tryrany. Nilmoni wanted to marry Mitul and tried to rape her, but Biju saved her. Then he blamed Biju for some illegal relation with Mitul. Bipin got him out from the house. After that they blamed Bipin for stolen of money, Binu insulted Bipin and Bipin died. Binu was shocked and left the house. On the other hand Biju met with a richman and his daughter Manju (Rajeswari) and he got a job to their company. Manju falls in love with Biju. In the village, one night Gauri and his son Bhuto (Master Bishtu) left their house, and came to Kolkata, there they met Ratan Kaibarto (Sukhen Das), their family friend or guide. Nilmoni went to marry Mitul forcefully but Biju, Manju, Gauri and Ratan came to village, stopped the marriage. Gauri excused Konaklata. Mitu and Biju got married and finally they started to live happily together.
