Pareeksha is a 1963 Indian Bollywood costume film released on 1963. The film is directed by Yoganand.
FRIENDSHIP between Mahendra, a Prince of State and Chintamani, son of the Prime Minister of the same State, was so so strong that nothing on Earth coul seperate them. . Mahendra had won Rambha in the Royal Swayamvara and Chintamani had fallen in love with another Princess, Meghala. . Rambha had been kidnapped by a magician from Patal and Meghala, in order to escape from the clutches of Veerkesari, the C-in-Chief of her State, had run away and started living in disguise of a fisherwoman. . During their search of Rambha, Chintamani left Mahendra to take some rest while himself went a nearby village to fetch some food. There, he met his beloved Meghala. . Having tried all his magic-tricks and failed to win over Rambha the Magician from Patal decided to kill Mahendra. During the fight, he was defeated and his Magic Ring fell in Mahendras hands. With the the help of the Magic Ring, Mahendra entered Patal and found Rambha there. They got married Patal. . Chintamani, while searching Mahendra, was arrested by Veerkesaris soldiers. Veerkesari, with the help of a magician woman, managed to get Rambha and the Magic Ring out of Patal. . Meghala somehow, managed to get only Chintamani released from Veerkesaris imprisonment but also the Magic Ring. . With the help of the Magic Ring, Chintamani got his friend Mahendra out of Patal but before he could himself come out, he was warned by a Fairy in Patal that the Magician from Patal who had turned into a Cobra was to attack his friend Mahendra and his wife Rambha for three more times. The fairy also warned him that if he revealed this secret to anyone, he would turn into a stone and, there after, Mahendra and Rambha would also die. . How Chintamani survived three hard trials-what sacrifice he made for his friend Mahendra, for the sake of friendship. And now Mahendra like a true friend, reciprocated. What happened to his beloved Rambha and his child. You must come along with your family to see the mother eternal love-sacrifice and last but not the least true friendship between MAN and MAN on the silver screen.
