Patohu Bitiya is a 1989 Indian Bhojpuri drama film released on 1989. The film is directed by Aslam Sheikh, produced by Shyam Jethvani. Vijay Singh is an honest Police Inspector enforcing law to bring an end to the illegal activities in his area. This does not go down well with the local politician, Netaji who operates various criminal activities. To make Vijay play for his team, Netaji proposes marriage of his daughter to Vijay's parents. In greed of large sum of dowry, Vijay's parents agree to the marriage and Vijay too gives in. But in a turn of events Vijay ends up marrying a poor girl named Sugandha. Netaji is left enraged and swears to ruin the life of Vijay while Vijay's parents subject Sugandha to torture and plan to get rid of her.
