Subedar Resham Singh is saved the life of major Balwant Singh against heavy odds. The major was dismissed following a court martial and the Subedar too took to a civilian life marrying Anuradha. The major was a rich farmer married to Nirmala and had Ravi as his son. Four of Ravis friend having been rusticated from the college visited Ravi and molested Anuradha who committed suicide. The Subedar killed Ravis four friends with a leather belt. He wanted to kill Ravi but the major interceded. The subedar killed the major whose life he had saved earlier. Subedar was repentant.
