Rana Surajman Sinh treated his nephew Mahendera and niece Rekha as his children as he was childless. Amar was Mahendras rival at college. Amar was loved both by Rekha and Bindiya. When Bindiya was asked by the Rana to dance she refused to as she thought Amar would not like it She later danced on condition that Amar and Rekha were allowed to cross the river.
