A primitive love story, the film begins with Sujatha (Sridevi) who is the darling daughter of Gopalrao(Raghuvaran). Being a protective father, he is of the firm belief that daughters must marry the boy of parent's choice and hates the idea of love and getting eloped. However, Sujatha turns out to be a disappointment for him as she falls hopelessly in love with Vara Prasad (Allari Naresh) who is nothing but a vagabond with the credit of failing tenth standard three times.
