Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Pitaah (2002)
Thakur Avadh Navayan Singh(Om Puri) is the landlord of a village. The film starts with a bull race. The Thakur's bulls win the race. In reality the Thakur has forbidden many from taking part in the race. The Thakur is a corrupt person and has 2 sons Bacchu Singh(Siddarth) & Bhola Singh who are quite like him. While the Thakur is celebrating the victory Bhola & Baccha go to Rampur to meet a nautch girl Naina(Mink). Bacchu & Bhola on their way back to the village meet Durga (Tanvi), the daughter of Rudra(Sanjay Sutt) & Paro(Nandita Das). Baccha & Bhola are totally drunk and they rape Durga and throw her in the jungle. Rudra is a labourer and works for the Thakur. Some villagers find Durga in the jungle and after informing Rudra take her to hospital. Senior Doctor(Anjana Srivastav) sends Rudra to the local police inspector Ram Narayan Bharadwaj(Jackie Shroff). The inspector registers an FIR and arrests Bhola & Bacchu but the Thakur bribes the police & the doctor. Rudra decides to take his revenge and kills Bhola & Bacchu. When the Thakur comes to know that Rudra has killed his sons, he sends his men to kill Rudra but finally Paro kills the Thakur.
Rudra (Sanjay Dutt) is a commonplace villager, who leads a very normal villager with his caring wife Paro (Nandita Das) and his three kids Muniya (Tanvi Hegde), Luv (Sagar Thawani) and Kush ( Samrat Thawani). He works in the farms of Thakur Avadh Narayan Singh (Om Puri), who is the richest person of the village but very cruel by nature. Thakur Avadh Narayan has two sons Bachchu (Siddharth) and Bhola (Vineet Shrinit), who visit prostitutes and enjoy their life sinfully. One day, Rudra's daughter Muniya is raped by Bachchu and Bhola. After a frantic search and lodging an FIR, Rudra finally finds her in a half-dead position in a forest. He tries his level best to fetch the guilty their just desserts. What Rudra doesn't know is that Thakur Avadh Narayan has the policemen dancing to his tunes and can mould the law and order as per his wish.Will Rudra be able to get justice for his daughter?
